There she is... the North American B-25J Mitchell Bomber (Duke of Brabants Air Force)
A slow pass... she's also seen often at airshows !

And here's the real stuff of today, 19 september 2009
How true... let's never forget this ! Holland celebrates every year at 5th of mai.
The first wave of paratroopers jump...

... and what a mighty sight !
There's not much to tell...

... but being part of this - even as spectator - gives you a special feeling !

And here she is, the star of 1944: Dakota DC-3 or 'C-47 Skytrain' !
How peacefull these guys land on the 'Ginkel Heath' ...

... even more ...

... and more inpressions...
... quitly landing with the sound of propellors high in the sky ...

Parachutes almost like the old days... but even more developped
This was 'then' , only difference is the paratroopers were under heavy fire !

DZ-A was one of the dropzones next to the place called 'Veghel'...
... where 501 was to land and hold until releave...
... but soon the Germans counter attacked, and tried to break through the corridor.
A view at 'Ginkelse Heide where the people were treated on a great pageant in fine weather !
For these pictures and cooperating with us to be 'almost everywhere'...
... we like to thank specially Henny Otten and Ronald Stark !

With these last UK and USAF Herculesses...

... and these last waves late in the afternoon...
... we invite you to go down to the 'Cross-Over'page 6 ?
