| On the 14th of june 2009 the curtain fell defenitly for AFB Soesterberg | ||

| It was a dead-calm event that day, a quit visiting day in the weekend. No more than that. | ||

| Years ago that was different, during the Cold-War era Phantoms took-off at this very spot ! | ||

| ... the 'Royal' was there for some show and music... | ||

| ... The Gliderclub Amsterdam was guest for so many years at this base ... | ||

| ... and today young and old walked, enjoyed some snacks, rest a while and made som last pictures | ||

| As you see some relics of aviation were 'flown in'... Very nice models ! | ||
