WE HOPE YOU ENJOY IT !

The Baltic States don't have an airforce. Now tensions increase from Russian side NATO helps to guide their airspaces
In rotation NATO members take their part, in which Portugal is leading (sept. 2014) supported by Canada, the UK and Poland
Example of a Typhoon from the United Kingdom
Germany participated with their Typhoon's
Two-ship formation of Dutch F-16's, who will be at Malbork up to December 2014
Dutch
The Dutch participate in QRA and also train with / and against the Polish MIG-29 Fulcrums.
A row of Polish MIG-29's on QRA alert
The Dutch DetCom Lt.Cln. 'Marcel' explains about the Royal Dutch Airforce, trainingspartner Poland and motivation on both sides
On QRA the aircraft are fully armed. This is real, you cannot afford the role of 'sitting duck' as Lt.Cln. Marcel explains
TMounted guns are loaded and hardpoints filled. The Russians violate the airspaces about once a week
They appear unannounced and at the wrong places. A scramble follows so they know it's not just a game.
A Russian 'BEAR' flying the wrong direction....
Putin's 'Bear-flights' are suddenly current again the recent years.
For the Dutch the scene is different, mostly they guard and 'accompany' the uninvited Russian planes above sea.
Now they know it's for real, also for those who live below. Pilots are trained in their 'Rulse Of Engagement (classified)
There is no stress, just the wish to do a 100% correct what you are trained for.
AWACS planes from Geilenkirchen (as High Valuable Air Assets) can  limit themselves to the left side of the area
They don't (yet) need specific protection, but in case they can be defended bij fighters before they take any risk

The Poles are happy with the cooperation and extra support by the Dutch. They can get along very well.
NATO took care of renovating the Malbork runway. This way the base will continue to exist and safety is guaranteed.
Don't forget that Russia is only 60 kilometers ahead, missiles ready and able. (Remember MH17...)
Kaliningrad is only a stones-throw away, where the S-400 system is expected to be.
Airplanes like the Russian Flanker and this SU-35 Beagle are formidable opponents for the F-16's and Mig-29's !
The number of participating supporting aircraft is to be called modest, still an attack on one is an attack to all
A dogfight is nice to see, new insights are practiced. This composition picture gives an idea.

ANice detail is that some MIG's have famous aviators on their tail.
The training continues the day over and also late in the afternoon and even at night

There is a healthy and performance-enhancing competition between the two Dutch squadrons of Volkel and Leeuwarden !
A view in the traffic-control tower of Malbork
The Fulcrums have less checks compared to the F-16's and can be airborne in no time. The F-16's are always prepared 'to the max'.
Some personell is housed in the neighbourhood of the base. They might miss dinner, but there's a solution for everything ;-))
At the base itself there is a MSK (Mobile Sattelite Kitchen) with it's own luxurious meny-card !

Malbork also hosts other facilities like this Medevac action that we witnessed. This Eurocopter EC-135 deliveres a seriously injured person
The person is transported to a fast jet which will take the stabilized person to the nearest hospital
Probably a life saving action.
Be prepared for the next page of Malbork Airbase, knowing that on the ground and in the air security is guaranteed !

ALWAYS WATCHFUL, ALL FOR EVERYONE, ALERT AND PROTECTING !
