DUTCH F-16'S ON QRA MALBORK POLAND i |
E 2 OF 2....... ...PAGE 3 OF 3 |
COOPERATION ON THE PLATFORM AND IN THE AIRi |
Finally some images at- and around the platform. |
F-16's who are parked inside the hangar at night are called 'binnenslapertjes' or 'inside-sleepers' |
hIt's all there to be mounted in minutes: Recce pods. |
Handyman can do it with a small machine: Towing the F-16 out of the hangar |
In front of the main hangar..... |
..... and a few minutes later in the rain. |
Leftmost the MIG's are also preparing to 'meet' the F1-16's air-to-air. |
Recce equipped for this morning, Dutch in blue... |
....ans white for the Poles. |
Szkolny literal means 'School'. |
The Polish QRA side of the field. The MIG's are often in disadvantage, because of no visual sight behind the pilot..... |
.... while very good to see the F-16 pilot can almost see 360 degrees around. Though, a very smart flying Polish pilot........ :-)))) |
Equipment of the Polish pilots is quite simple but effective. F-16's last check outside by the pilot himself... |
.....if it were only for his own peace of mind. |
Again good to see that the MIG pilots have less purview behind- and besides them. |
Mostly the F-16 is in the advantace by the dogfights, but as stated, never underestimate a smart flying MIG pilot who can fool you. |
'Standby on QRA' |
Once more this shows that the pilot has little view besides him on both flanks |
Back on track to the platform... |
....underneath along the tower... |
....which is always a treat for the photographer ! |
Another flight of the F-16 J-016, starting in the rain... |
....ending in sunshine. |
4 **** MIG pilots |
Tremendous exhausts of the twin-engined fighter-jet |
Reserve QRA |
Are the wheels out by landing ?? |
Break-chute thrown off in the corner |
Preparations for the evening flights |
A low sun gives nice effects, and this way we come almost to the end of the Malbork QRA presentation |
Many happy landings you all, and may a real escalation be avoided in future. May reason prevail ! |
The bell will be hosted up till december... |
.....as well as the Mobile Sattelite Kitchen, which will also serve other delicious meals as the one on the left ! ;-)) |
Our heartfelt thanks to the Royal Netherlands Airforce, Lt.Cln. Marcel, MCD, Frank Crebas and last but not least Joyce ! |
Willem also thanks for your collegiate competition and sociability ! It was great fun. |
