This overview overlaps in fact three separate items. Two major exercises held in Europe recently, FRISIAN FLAG  
initiated in The Netherlands and EART (European Air-to-Air Refuelling Training) over Europe.
As third item the function of 'BOOMER' is a central point in these exercises. We also inform you about this aspect.

Before any flight, all systems have to be checked over and over, many of them by the boomer...
 
... and off course in the Cockpit. Let's get on board !
 
Different from other systems the 'boomer' operates 'three dimensional' with various screes in his RARO station
 
Louis Martin is our host right here, the RARO station is right behind the cockpit, not in the tail of the plane. 
 
           Under the fuselage you see the five camera's....                             .....above a detail, three of them. 
A view in the KDC-10 Cockpit, not the latest generation avionics but very effective and easy to handle.
 
Difference to other systems: The KDC-10 has also a personell department in the upper section of the fuselage...
....and a cargo department in the lower section. 
In the rear-part behind the seats is also a cargo-floor, containers can be rolled easily.
