EDA provides 'defence-lease' where needed. Greenblade-Pegasus underlines this international coorperation
Several observers were here, on the right: Col. Massimo Guasoni from Italy, stationed in Bruxelles Belgium
Guasoni  explains that the two exercises Green Blade (helicopter logistics) and Pegasus (special ops) flow seamlessly
integrated  together in CJF (Combined  Joint  Forces) where people make the difference.
Othersto briefed, de-briefed, analysed, evaluated and observed. Again Italy plays the main role.
vDuring the press-briefing this day Mrs. Claude-France Arnould, Chief Executive (CE) of EDA explains: Pooling and vsharing equipment and manpower in all aspects. Providing medical aid, medevac, fire fighting and airlift are some vexamples. There will be more transparancy on a central point about stock of material, ammunition, locations and vquantity
Belgian Minister of defence Mr. Pieter de Crem also emphasized the need of an organisation such as EDA is.

Extended course of the action: Just read the article, below some short comments on the images.
Terrorists guard a house and are a threat for the entire operation to capture a main terrorist and eliminate his team
Snipers were on the spot and observed the area already for some time...
Suddenly gunfire, the noise of an F-16 at an altitude of a few tens of meters....
.... the truck with machinegun is bombed...

...and at the same moment the Huey's come flying in and provide special ops by roping them down fast.
The direct environment is secured...
... a door is forced and a granade is thrown inside the house.
Next actions take place in seconds.
The house is taken by surprise, more commando's rope down to the place...
The entire area is secured also for threats from outside the woods around... where one person is wounded badly !
Almost immediately a Belgian medevac helicopter lands, brings in more troopers....
... who also secure their machine and area...
...medics come in with a stretcher...
...the wounded soldier is stabilised and wrapped in foil against the cold and rain.
What you can't see so well on the pictures is that it's raining cats and dogs.
But it doesn't seem to affect the troopers on the ground, they do their work well-attuned...
...the wounded man will be flown into a hospital as fast as possible...
.... this can be a real hospital or military field hospital in the neighbourhood depending on the situation.
The A109 Hirondo - afflicted by the heavy rain - takes off from the smaal grass-strip between threes and  shrubs...
The HVT (high value target) 'Mr. Boris Burtoch' leader of the terror-group is taken alive and hand-coffed.
He'll be transported to a safe jail, waiting to be trialed by the international court in The Hague Netherlands
NThe job is done...
.... in the right order the helicopters leave the place...
Quite invisable the mangusta's are around to protect the departing Huey's ...
... and finally a CH-47 Italian Chinook lands precisely between the trees with his widely spread rotorblades.
He pick's up the last special forces. Well done guys !
We'd like to thank the Belgian Airforce for the cooperation we got to realize this publication ans show it to so many people by means of this website and the publications in the magazines. Thanks also Col. Massimo Guasoni for your information, thanks also to Peter Dewael, Tasja, and all others involved in this operation !
